An airline operations control centre coordinates the daily flying programme. Controllers work with dispatch, crew scheduling, maintenance and airport teams when weather, aircraft availability or other disruptions affect the schedule.
This is a coordination role with several possible educational routes. Dispatch studies develop flight-planning knowledge; aviation management develops broader organisational understanding. Employers provide additional procedures and systems training for their operation.
Typical learning areas across these routes; the institution’s syllabus defines the exact content.
